so ive been playing guitar for about 3 years now and running on a shitty practice amp..

In the market for a classic thrash kinda sound (something megadeth/ old metallica (justice album) kind of sound)..

Ive been looking around and a few have captured my attention:

Marshall JVM410H (mustaines amp of choice)
Roland JC-120 (hetfield uses this as his clean, but it sounds wicked with distortion)
Peavey 5150 / Bugera 6262
Peavey 6505 (classic thrash sound, also remade as an EVH5150)

basically my issue is that all of these are over $1200 and im hoping to get an amp AND cabinet for that sort of dollar..

I could try to acquire a second hand version of one of these, but I am looking for suggestions on a similar sound for slightly less..

I have also looked into the Marshall JCM2000 DSL100, but its not quite there...

should probably mention im looking for a 50-100 watt (prefereably 100) and I'm playing a Jackson Rhoads JS32T with CVR2 humbuckers.. looking to upgrade the pickups soon methinks..

any advice would be appreciated :)

cheers..

It's been proven that people who play marshalls have a longer penis and larger aggits.

Caviar tastes with Behringer budget, you deserve what you can afford. Come back when you're prepared to spend money, you might get some serious answers.

Actually I'll give you honest advice: You could afford a EVH5150 50watt version with your bread crumbs and it will more than do the job. You don't need a 100watt valve amp, not even on stage.

Also Bugera is shitty pauper gear.
