 Spewing forth from the wastelands of the Brisbane Heavy Metal scene in 2007, and with a successful demo 'Chapter One' already under their belts, local lads Violent Green are out of the studio and ready to punish ears once again with their new EP 'Abyssus in Terra'. Mixing a brutal potion of Death, Black and Sludge Metal, this young and talented Queensland five piece are ready to show the Australian Metal fans they mean business.
Having already played numerous shows with other local scene favourites like The Dead and Empyrean, Violent Green are about to encounter their biggest challenge yet, as they support one of the heavyweights of Death Metal, Brazil's Krisiun.  Sydney metalers SWITCHBLADE will be releasing their new album "INVICTUS INFINITUM" in April 2009 and to celebrate will be playing select shows around the country.
"INVICTUS INFINITUM" was recorded by Darren "jENK" Jenkins (Cryogenic, Mortality) and mixed by Grammy Award winning producer Neil Kernon (Nevermore, Nile, Cannibal Corpse) in Chicago, USA. The album will also feature special guest lead guitarist JEFF LOOMIS (Nevermore) on the track "Reflective Curse".

Violent Green is a five piece death metal band rising from the slew of Brisbane, Australia metal ranks. Since forming in early 2007 Violent Green have spewed forth their emotive sounds of hate, envy and corruption; releasing a 4 track demo in their first year.
After a setback in losing their drummer in 2008, fortunately for Violent Green, Todd (The Berzerker, Happy Camper) stepped in to allow their first debut at Rosies, Brisbane to ensue. Since gaining new drummer Leo to the conglomerate, Violent Green have tightened their sound and have become a brutal force to be reckoned with. They have shared the stage with the likes of established local heavyweights The Dead, Empyrean, Defamer and People Die. 2008 also saw Violent Green supporting both Frakenbok (VIC) on their tour through Brisbane and Sinate (NZ).

Violent Green’s forthcoming EP aptly titled “Abyssus in Terra” will be released through Brismetal.com Records in early 2009 featuring 6 tracks. You can also witness the wrath of Violent Green as they support Krisiun on their upcoming tour in Brisbane. Featuring in addition is Dawn of Azazel (NZ), and Defamer which will be held on April 15th at Rosies, Brisbane.
